Morgan Russell recognises the importance of training and the role that it can play in saving time and money, as well as enhancing the reputation of your organisation. Well-trained staff are key to ensuring that the correct procedures are in place for staff to work as effectively and efficiently as possible. Training usually takes place at our clients’ premises, although it can be held at our Esher offices if preferred.

Our approach is to encourage participation from delegates. We aim to provide a friendly environment so that people feel comfortable in taking an active part. Depending upon the nature of the course and time constraints, questions are taken both as and when they arise and during breaks. Delegates are often asked to break up into small groups to consider case studies to help them work through “real problems” to illustrate key points. There is no pressure put on delegates to participate, but we do generally find that the course is very informal and active as this is the environment we find most conducive to learning.

Delegates are provided with detailed course materials. The materials include clear guidance notes, check lists and tips so that they can be used as ongoing reference materials.

Disciplinary and dismissal procedures

This course is aimed at managers who deal with disciplinary issues on a day-to-day basis. It takes you through the basic procedures and provides tips on dealing with difficult disciplinary issues.

Update in Employment Law

This course is regularly revised to provide you with information on recent and forthcoming UK and European legislation and key case law and looks at the implications for your workplace.

How to deal with discrimination issues in the workplace

This course looks at the basic principles of discrimination law and how to implement good employment practices to reduce risks.

Dealing with absence

This course looks at the legal issues surrounding absence and practical measures to take to deal with different situations. This course deals with a wide range of absence issues from doubtful sickness absence through to disability discrimination issues.

Handling redundancy

This course looks at the process which needs to be followed in handling redundancy situation.

TUPE

This course looks at the operation of the TUPE laws. This course is tailor made to suit your requirements and is particularly helpful to those businesses involved in contracting in and out situations. Changes in TUPE came into force in April 2006.

All our courses are adapted to suit your particular needs and new courses can be tailor made as required.

The CIS Scheme and employment status issues

This course is aimed at the construction industry. Fundamental changes to the CIS Scheme are to come into force in April 2007. This course takes you through the major changes to the Scheme and identifies key areas of risk and recommended courses of action.

Company/Commercial

Our company/commercial department presents courses on commercial matters as required. We are able to provide clients with specific presentations tailored to their needs. For example, recent presentations have been made to a number of banks in the UK and abroad on UK whitewash procedures.
